Terms  — The Auto Armory

Effective date: September 3, 2025

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of theautoarmory.net (the “Site”) and any mobile services performed by The Auto Armory (“we,” “us,” “our”). By booking online, signing a work order, paying a deposit, or allowing us to begin work, you (“you,” “customer,” “vehicle owner/agent”) agree to these Terms and the applicable service-specific disclosures below.

If you have questions, contact us at [your email], [your phone], [your mailing address].

1) Scheduling, Access & Workspace

  • Booking. Services are scheduled via our Site, phone, or text and are confirmed by our team. We may reschedule due to weather, location constraints, parts availability, or safety issues.

  • Access. You must provide safe, legal access to the vehicle and a suitable work area (flat surface, adequate lighting, and where applicable, access to power/water). You’re responsible for HOA/landlord permissions.

  • Valuables. Please remove valuables. We are not responsible for loss of items left in the vehicle unrelated to our work.

2) Estimates, Pricing & Payment

  • Estimates. Estimates are good-faith approximations based on the information available. Final pricing may change due to vehicle condition, additional labor, parts, or scope changes approved by you.

  • Payment. Payment is due upon completion unless otherwise agreed in writing. We may require a deposit for parts-dependent or extended jobs. Returned/failed payments may incur fees.

3) Photos, Documentation & Communication

  • Condition documentation. We may photograph/video the vehicle before, during, and after service to document condition and workmanship.

  • SMS/Email. By providing your contact info, you agree we may contact you about your service (confirmations, reminders, updates). Marketing texts/emails require your opt-in (see SMS Terms below).

4) Customer-Supplied Parts

If you supply parts/fluids, you accept responsibility for their suitability. No warranty is provided by us on customer-supplied parts. Additional labor for ill-fitting or defective parts will be billed.

5) Warranties, Issue Reporting & Remedies

  • Workmanship. We perform services with reasonable skill and care.

  • Report issues promptly. For any service-related defect you believe we caused, you must notify us within 24 hours of service completion and before further use that could worsen the condition, and you must allow us a reasonable opportunity to inspect and (at our option) repair or re-perform the affected work.

  • Limits. If you fail to notify us within 24 hours or do not allow inspection/remedy, we are not liable for the claimed issue. Our total liability, if any, is limited to re-performing the work or refunding the amount you paid for the affected service—whichever we choose—and will not exceed the amount paid for that service.

6) General Liability Limits (applies to all services)

We are not responsible for:

  • Pre-existing conditions (stains, scratches, rock chips, clear coat failure, prior repairs, corrosion/rust, worn/loose trim, torn upholstery, mechanical/electrical faults, etc.).

  • Hidden or latent defects that become apparent during normal service (e.g., brittle plastics, failing coatings, deteriorated weather-stripping).

  • Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages (e.g., loss of use, diminished value, missed work).
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

7) Authorization to Operate

You authorize us to operate and test-drive your vehicle (before/after service) in a reasonable manner to verify concerns and confirm repairs.

8) Compliance with Laws

You are responsible for ensuring requested modifications (including window tint levels) comply with all applicable laws. We do not pay citations.

9) Cancellation/No-Show

Please notify us at least 24 hours in advance to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations or no-shows may incur a fee or forfeiture of deposit.

10) Disputes & Governing Law

We’ll try to resolve disputes in good faith. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina (without regard to conflicts rules). Venue lies in competent courts located in South Carolina.

Service-Specific Disclosures & Waivers

A) Detailing (Exterior/Interior)

Scope. We will perform the detailing package and add-ons you select and our staff confirms. This may include washing, decontamination, vacuuming, interior wipe-down/shampoo/extraction (as applicable), and glass cleaning.

Any on-site water used during service is the customer’s responsibility. The Auto Armory does not reimburse utility charges
Chemicals/Methods. We use professional chemicals and methods intended not to harm OEM materials when used as directed.

Known limitations & non-liability. We are not responsible for:

  • Pre-existing clear coat failure, heavy oxidation, etching, water spots within clear coat or glass, adhesive residue, or stains that may not fully remove.

  • Color/appearance differences after contaminant removal (areas previously concealed by oxidation or dirt may appear different).

  • Continuation of rips/tears or seam failures in leather/cloth due to prior wear.

  • Mechanical/electrical issues unrelated to detailing (e.g., power seat/roof faults, window regulators).

If we cause damage during detailing: We will notify you and, at our option, repair the damage or reimburse reasonable repair costs up to the amount you paid for the detailing service.

B) Window Tint

Scope. We prep/clean windows, apply the selected film, squeegee to set, and trim to fit.
Curing. Do not roll windows down for 3 days after installation. Temporary haze, moisture pockets, and minor bubbles may appear during curing and typically dissipate.

Legal compliance. You are responsible for state tint laws. If you request below-legal tint, you must provide documentation (e.g., medical exemption) and sign our waiver. Policy: We will not install film below 27% VLT on front windows/windshield areas (including below the manufacturer’s AS-1 line) without a signed waiver and qualifying documentation.

Limitations & non-liability. We are not responsible for:

  • Pre-existing glass defects/scratches, dot-matrix edges/silkscreen areas, degraded weather-strips, failing defroster lines, or aftermarket glass/previous films.

  • Damage caused by early window operation or failure to follow aftercare.

If we damage a window during installation: We are responsible and will repair or replace the affected glass/film as appropriate.

C) Mechanical & Electrical Work

Scope. Diagnostic, repair, and replacement work as approved by you. Some diagnostics isolate symptoms but may not reveal all underlying issues without additional testing or teardown.

24-hour notice (required). If you experience a service-related issue, you must contact us within 24 hours of completion and stop operating the vehicle (except as necessary for safety). We must be given the first opportunity to inspect and address the concern. If you do not contact us within 24 hours, we are not liable for the claimed issue.

Parts & warranty.

  • New parts generally carry a manufacturer’s warranty (subject to their terms). Our labor is warranted only to the extent stated in Section 5 above.

  • Customer-supplied parts void any workmanship warranty related to that component and may require additional labor.

Non-liability. We are not responsible for:

  • Pre-existing mechanical faults (engine, transmission, brakes/rotors, suspension, frame damage, rust).

  • Cascading failures or unrelated systems failing after a proper repair.

  • Performance issues arising from modified/aged vehicles outside factory specification.

D) Welding & Fabrication

Scope. Includes structural/non-structural welding, exhaust work, bracketry, and repair of rusted areas as approved.

Risks disclosed. Welding introduces heat, which can cause warpage, discoloration, paint/undercoating burn, spatter, interior odors, and may expose hidden corrosion. On rust repairs, only the weld area is addressed; surrounding rust may continue to propagate.

Safety. You must disclose and remove flammables (e.g., aftermarket sound deadening, fuel leaks, interior contents). We may decline work if conditions are unsafe.

Limits. No guarantee is made that surrounding rusted/thin metal will hold long-term. For off-road/modified components, you assume all risks associated with non-OEM configurations.

E) Paint Correction (Polishing/Compounding)

Scope. Machine polishing/compounding intended to reduce swirls, haze, and light defects. This is not a repaint and cannot fix deep scratches, chips, or clear coat failure.

Risks disclosed.

  • On repainted panels, heavily oxidized or thin clear coat, polishing may reveal underlying defects or risk clear coat failure.

  • Edges, body lines, and PPF/vinyl areas require caution; as-found conditions may limit achievable results.

Non-liability. We are not responsible for previously hidden defects that become visible once contaminants/oxidation are removed, nor for future deterioration of failing clear coat.

By providing your mobile number and opting in, you agree to receive recurring automated texts from The Auto Armory related to appointments (reminders, confirmations, updates, support). Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless The Auto Armory, its owners, employees, and contractors from third-party claims and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of: (a) your misuse of the Services, (b) your violation of these Terms, or (c) your infringement of any third-party rights.

Severability & Updates

If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. We may update these Terms at any time by posting a new “Effective date”; continued use constitutes acceptance.
